FDM Plastic 3D Printing Service Manufacturer

Zhejiang Jiaheng Intelligent Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd. is a China-based FDM plastic 3D printing service manufacturer and OEM/ODM factory. We build thermoplastic parts by melting and extruding filament layer by layer, with a maximum single-piece build size of 1.26 × 0.61 × 0.6 meters, and we run the same platform for SLA resin, SLS nylon, SLM metal, CNC machining, vacuum casting and surface finishing.

Our FDM Plastic 3D Printing Service range covers general-purpose and engineering filaments, so the same supplier can deliver a low-cost concept model, a large fixture, and a high-temperature carbon-fiber-reinforced functional part.

What Our FDM Process Delivers

FDM is an extrusion-based additive process: filament is heated, pushed through a nozzle and deposited along a programmed toolpath. Because the material is a real engineering thermoplastic rather than a photopolymer, parts can be drilled, tapped, machined and used directly as jigs, brackets and end-use industrial components.

  • Low cost and high efficiency — the most economical route for large-size and batch prototype production.
  • Wide material range — standard PLA, PETG and ABS through to high-temperature and carbon-fiber-reinforced grades.
  • Direct manufacturing — tooling fixtures and end-use industrial parts without a mold.
  • Large envelope — single pieces up to 1.26 × 0.61 × 0.6 m, with segmented assembly for larger structures.

Our FDM Material Range

Material choice is the first decision on any FDM project. We stock and process four material families, each aimed at a different combination of cost, temperature resistance and stiffness.

Material Typical Use Key Selection Point
PLA / PETG / ABS Concept models, housings, general prototypes Best balance of printability, surface and cost
HT-PLA Parts exposed to elevated service temperature Improved high-temperature dimensional stability
PPS+CF High-rigidity engineering and chemical-exposed parts Carbon-fiber reinforcement raises stiffness significantly
PAHT+CF High-strength, high-temperature functional parts Nylon base with carbon-fiber reinforcement

Application Fit

FDM parts are strongest where stiffness, size and cost matter more than fine cosmetic detail. We regularly produce tooling fixtures, large structural parts and industrial functional parts that must resist heat and load.

  • Automotive — jigs, checking fixtures, interior bucks and lightweight brackets.
  • Consumer electronics — housings, internal supports and assembly aids.
  • UAV & eVTOL — lightweight structural brackets and equipment mounts.
  • Robotics — end-effectors, connecting rods and protective covers.

Where a part needs a smooth, isotropic surface or fine feature detail, we route it to SLA resin 3D printing or DLP resin 3D printing instead, and where it needs machined tolerances we move it to CNC milling.

Specifications That Drive the Build

Every quotation is built from the same set of variables. These are the values we confirm before releasing a job to the printer.

  • Build envelope — 1.26 × 0.61 × 0.6 m maximum single piece; larger assemblies are split and joined.
  • Layer height — selected against the surface finish and build time the part requires.
  • Wall count and infill — set from the mechanical load rather than a default value.
  • Orientation — chosen to place layer lines away from load paths and visible faces.
  • Tolerance — agreed per drawing and verified at final inspection.
  • Quantity — single prototype through to batch production on the same setup.

Configuration Options

FDM output is configured, not fixed. We adjust the build parameters and the downstream process to match the function of the part.

  • Material grade — standard, high-temperature or carbon-fiber reinforced.
  • Colour — natural, black or specified filament colour.
  • Post-processing — support removal, sanding, grinding, polishing and sandblasting, or painting and coating.
  • Inserts — heat-set inserts, tapped holes and machined mating faces where the design allows.
  • Assembly — multi-part builds bonded or fastened into a single delivered unit.

Quality Control and Acceptance

Our quality system runs across the whole order, not only at the end. Raw material is inspected before it enters storage, in-process sampling is carried out during production to stabilise machining precision, and finished parts receive a comprehensive final check before shipment.

  • Incoming raw material inspection to cut quality risk at source.
  • Periodic in-process sampling during the print run.
  • Finished-product dimensional and appearance verification against the agreed standard.
  • Only qualified goods are released for delivery.

Customer drawings, models and product data are handled under project zoning in independent closed workshops, staff non-disclosure agreements and an isolated internal network.

Information We Use to Configure Your Solution

Send the following and we can return a build plan and quotation without a long back-and-forth. Missing items are confirmed with you during review.

  • 3D model in STEP, STL or an equivalent neutral format.
  • 2D drawing with critical dimensions and tolerances, where they exist.
  • Part function and the loads or temperatures it will see.
  • Required quantity and whether a prototype is needed first.
  • Surface finish, colour and any post-processing requirement.
  • Delivery destination and required date.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the largest part you can print in FDM?

Our maximum single-piece build size is 1.26 × 0.61 × 0.6 meters. Parts beyond that envelope are split into sections and joined, with the joint position agreed before production.

Which FDM material should I choose for a high-temperature part?

For elevated service temperature we recommend HT-PLA, PPS+CF or PAHT+CF. PPS+CF and PAHT+CF also add carbon-fiber reinforcement, which raises rigidity for structural and load-bearing applications.

Can FDM parts be used as production tooling rather than prototypes?

Yes. FDM supports direct manufacturing of tooling fixtures and end-use industrial parts, which is one of the main reasons it is used for jigs, checking fixtures and assembly aids.

Do you offer post-processing on FDM parts?

We provide support removal, grinding, polishing, sandblasting, painting and coating, and can combine FDM with our other processes when a part needs a different finish or a machined interface.

How do you protect our design data?

Projects are separated in independent closed workshops, all staff sign non-disclosure agreements, and drawing files are held on an isolated internal network that prevents unauthorised external transmission.

Can you handle both a single prototype and a batch order?

Yes. We accept custom orders of all batch sizes, from a single prototype sample through to contract manufacturing for small and large batches, using the same material and process settings.
