SLM Metal 3D Printing Service Manufacturer
Zhejiang Jiaheng Intelligent Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd. is a China SLM Metal 3D Printing Service manufacturer producing metal functional parts by selective laser melting, with near-100% density across stainless steel, aluminum alloy, titanium alloy and tool steel. We run SLM alongside CNC machining, vacuum casting and surface finishing in one production base, so a metal build can move directly into post-processing, machining and inspection without changing suppliers.
Our SLM work is aimed at robot structural components, high-strength brackets, lightweight housings, heat-dissipation channels and rapid mold inserts, serving the robotics, automotive, UAV and eVTOL, consumer electronics and medical rehabilitation accessory sectors.
What Selective Laser Melting Delivers
SLM builds metal parts layer by layer from a powder bed, fusing each cross-section with a laser. The result is a dense metal component formed in one piece, including internal channels and lattice or lightweight structures that cannot be produced by conventional subtractive methods.
- One-piece forming: complex internal cooling channels, conformal passages and hollow or lattice sections are built without assembly or joining.
- Mechanical behavior: material properties are comparable to forged parts, with high mechanical strength for load-bearing brackets and structural nodes.
- Material coverage: stainless steel, aluminum alloy, titanium alloy and tool steel are all available within our SLM range.
- Design freedom: topology-optimized geometry, consolidated part counts and weight reduction are achieved in a single build.
Our SLM Material Range
Each material in our SLM Metal 3D Printing Service is selected against the working environment, load path and post-processing route of the part rather than by material name alone.
| Material | Typical Characteristics | Application Fit |
|---|---|---|
| Stainless Steel 316L | Corrosion-resistant, near-100% density, good ductility | Functional parts, fluid and gas handling components, food and chemical-adjacent hardware |
| Aluminum Alloy AlSi10Mg | Lightweight, one-piece complex geometry, heat-dissipation capability | Lightweight brackets, housings, thermal and heat-sink structures |
| Titanium Alloy Ti6Al4V | High strength-to-weight ratio, laser-melted consolidation | Aerospace and UAV structures, medical-grade orthoses and rehabilitation accessories |
| Tool Steel H13 / S136 | Mold-grade, rapid insert forming, conformal cooling channels | Injection mold inserts, die components, cooling-optimized tooling |
Where SLM Parts Fit in Your Project
We produce SLM metal parts for prototype validation, functional testing and small-to-medium batch production. The process is chosen when internal geometry, weight reduction or part consolidation matters more than the cost profile of conventional machining.
Robotics
Robot joints, connecting rods, end-effectors and structural brackets benefit from consolidated part counts and reduced component weight.
Automotive
Lightweight customized parts, high-strength brackets and rapid tooling inserts for new energy vehicle development programs.
UAV & eVTOL
Integrated complex parts and lightweight components that reduce part quantity and improve structural efficiency.
Medical Rehabilitation
Customized orthosis and rehabilitation accessory orders produced in medical-grade titanium alloy with high-precision post-processing.
Build Orientation, Supports and Design Rules
Because SLM is a layer-based process, orientation determines support placement, surface condition on downward faces and the direction of residual stress. We review the model before quoting and confirm the build direction with the customer when it affects function.
- Minimum features: wall thickness, pin diameter and channel size are checked against the chosen material and laser parameters.
- Support strategy: supports are added on overhangs and removed after build; contact areas are finished to the specified surface condition.
- Distortion control: long, thin or asymmetric parts are oriented and, where required, stress-relieved before final machining.
- Interface allowances: mating faces, bores and threads are left with machining stock when tight tolerances are required.
Post-Processing and Integrated Machining
As-built SLM surfaces are not the final state for most functional parts. Our production base combines metal printing with Precision CNC Milling Service and finishing so that critical interfaces, bores and sealing faces are machined after the build.
- Support removal, base plate separation and stress relief
- CNC machining of mating faces, bores, threads and datum surfaces
- Grinding, polishing and sandblasting for surface condition
- Anodizing, electroplating, painting and coating where the application requires it
- Laser engraving and silk-screen marking for identification and traceability
Where a program needs both metal and polymer components, we also supply SLS Nylon 3D Printing Service and other processes from the same platform, keeping tolerances, finishes and documentation consistent across the assembly.
Quality Control and Acceptance
Our quality system covers raw material incoming check, in-process sampling and finished product dimension verification. Every customized workpiece is inspected against the agreed dimensional tolerance and appearance standard before shipment.
| Stage | What We Check | Output |
|---|---|---|
| Raw material | Powder and stock material verification before release to production | Incoming inspection record |
| In-process | Periodic sampling during production to stabilize machining precision | Sampling record |
| Final | Dimensional tolerance and appearance verification on finished parts | Inspection report with shipment |
Customer drawings, models and product data are handled under project zoning in closed workshops, staff non-disclosure agreements and an isolated internal network that prevents unauthorized external transmission of drawing files.
Information We Use to Configure Your Solution
A quotation and process route are prepared from the part itself, not from a material name. The following inputs let us confirm feasibility, orientation, post-processing and inspection scope before production starts.
- 3D model in STEP or STL, plus 2D drawing for toleranced features
- Selected material and any required mechanical or corrosion performance
- Critical dimensions, datums and the surfaces that must be machined
- Quantity per revision and expected batch or repeat-order pattern
- Surface finish, color and any anodizing, plating or coating requirement
- Assembly context, mating parts and interface constraints
- Inspection and documentation expectations, including report format
- Packaging, labeling and delivery destination
Project Support from Build to Delivery
Our engineering team reviews the design before production and raises early optimization suggestions that reduce downstream cost, such as adjusting wall thickness, consolidating parts or relocating a channel to avoid support in a critical bore. Technical communication continues during processing so details can be adjusted without restarting the project.
After delivery we follow up on product usage questions and repeat production demands, so a validated SLM part can be reordered against the same process route and inspection criteria. Prototype samples, custom parts and contract manufacturing for small or large batches are all handled through the same platform.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which metals can you produce with SLM?
Our SLM range covers Stainless Steel 316L, Aluminum Alloy AlSi10Mg, Titanium Alloy Ti6Al4V and Tool Steel H13 / S136. Material selection is confirmed against the working environment, load path and required post-processing.
Are SLM parts as strong as machined or forged parts?
Selective laser melting produces near-100% dense metal with mechanical properties comparable to forged parts. Where a part carries critical interfaces, we machine those features after the build to hold the specified tolerance.
Can you machine and finish SLM parts in the same order?
Yes. Support removal, stress relief, CNC milling or turning of mating faces and bores, grinding, polishing, sandblasting, anodizing, plating, painting and laser engraving are carried out within our production base.
What file formats and information do you need for a quote?
Send a STEP or STL model with a 2D drawing for toleranced features, the material, quantity, surface finish requirement and any inspection or documentation expectations. We confirm the build orientation and post-processing scope in the proposal.
Do you support both prototypes and repeat batch production?
We accept custom orders of all batch sizes, from single prototype samples through small-batch and repeat production. Validated parts are reordered against the same process route and inspection criteria.
How is our design data protected?
Projects are separated in closed workshops, all staff sign non-disclosure agreements, and drawing files are held on an isolated internal network that prevents unauthorized external transmission.
